About Quality Americana

Quality Americana was born out of a love for songwriting. Based in the great Southwest, our magazine releases new content daily that highlights the artist, the poet, the train-jumping folk singer, the round table writer and everyone that sets out to capture our hearts with an instrument.

We focus on telling the story of the artists we cover from their voice and verified information in the media.

Song of the Day

Our daily series pulls new releases directly from the Americana Music Foundation singles chart every week and gives our take on the release. This is our flagship column that includes interviews, background and spotlights an important artist in the genre.

Andrew Blanton

Andrew Blanton is a journalism graduate from Texas State University, a singer songwriter, and our content director at Quality Americana. More information about Blanton’s music can be found here.

Keith Michael Kallina

Keith Kallina (pictured right) is a songwriter and traveling alt-country performer based in Texas. Kallina is our head photojournalist.

Robert Alarcon

Robert Alarcon (pictured left) is the lead singer for Austin-based funk band The Holy Child and the bi-lingual songwriter Muchacho. Alarcon is our technical director.
